Etre Get Together 2011 consists of three day-long workshops on user experience.
Here's the breakdown...
In this day-long workshop, Anders Ramsay — author of the forthcoming book Designing with Agile: Lean User Experience for Successful Products — will show you how to be a successful UX practitioner within an Agile team, and how to improve your own UX methodology (even if you're not in an Agile environment) through Agile practices.
Your web site or intranet has major problems, and everyone knows it. Worse, it's been that way for a very, very long time. In this day-long workshop, Lou Rosenfeld — author of Information Architecture for the World Wide Web and Search Analytics for your Site: Conversations with your customers — will show you practical ways to prioritise the Information Architecture challenges your organisation should be addressing.
Usability testing is the single most valuable thing you can do to improve a web site, a web application, or a piece of software, and not nearly enough of it gets done. In this day-long workshop, Steve Krug will teach you how to do your own low-cost/no-cost testing that's simple enough to make it a routine part of your design process.
